You don't need everything at once. Families who thrive start small and add as they go.
Sort out the legal side
Register with your province (Pestalozzi Trust and SAHomeschoolers.org have step-by-step guides). Keep a simple record of what you do — that's it.
Pick an approach, not a pile of books
Charlotte Mason, classical, eclectic… Read our short guide, then choose a reading programme, a maths spine and good read-alouds. Add subjects later.
Buy the year-one essentials
For most families that's All About Reading or Spelling, Life of Fred or Saxon maths, and a shelf of living books. We stock all of these — most ship in 3 days.
Find your people
Co-ops, Classical Conversations communities, local groups. Homeschooling is easier together — and second-hand books circulate there too.
Which of these is you?
Pick your door — each one takes you to a short guide and the books that go with it.

Questions new families ask
Is homeschooling legal in South Africa?
Yes. Home education is recognised under the South African Schools Act; you register with your provincial education department. The Pestalozzi Trust and SAHomeschoolers.org publish up-to-date guides for each province.
Which curriculum should I start with?
It depends on your child's age and how you like to teach. Most first-year families start with a reading programme (All About Reading), a maths spine (Life of Fred or Saxon) and lots of read-alouds — then add subjects. Use the Suggestion Box or contact us and we'll help you choose.
Do you stock everything, or is it imported to order?
Both. Bestsellers are on our shelves and ship in 3 business days. Titles marked back-order are imported for you and take 8–12 weeks; we keep you posted by email and WhatsApp.
What does delivery cost?
Free on orders over R3,500 (South Africa). Below that, a flat courier fee is shown at checkout before you pay. Collection in Centurion can be arranged.
Can I pay by EFT?
Yes — EFT, card, and Payfast options are offered at checkout. EFT orders are dispatched once payment reflects.
Do you sell to schools and co-ops?
Yes. Schools, co-ops and Classical Conversations communities can order in bulk — get in touch for a quote and account terms.
